Brand Refresh // UHY Hacker Young

UHY Hacker Young is one of the UK Top 20 accountancy groups. It is a network of independent accounting and advisory firms operating from 16 locations around the country. Philosophy was appointed to update the brand identity for the Group. The brief was to keep the logo, primary colour palette and stationery in the existing style yet update the identity and provide templates for the marketing team to control and update internally. The design reflected the six brand messages that were determined at the research stage of the project. The challenge was to create a brand that appealed to a diverse audience ranging from high net worth individuals to PLCs.
Graphic illustrations were used at a corporate level in their primary colour palette. Philosophy added to the colour palette to give each core service line better differentiation; the services were also each given a suite of illustrations. As well as a complete overhaul of the website, marketing items were designed including service brochures, newsletters, deal sheets, PowerPoint and proposal covers. Philosophy undertook training workshops with the marketing team to change collateral internally rather than relying on outside design agencies.
